Today’s challenge is:
Take 5 Minutes Off of Your Normal Shower Time.
Why?
I know... long, hot showers are the best! They make you feel all cozy and warm, but sometimes, if you want to save the earth you have to change your life style a bit.
Usually, a 10 minute shower with a standard shower head can use about 80 gallons of water and generate up to 4 pounds of CO2 emissions. That is not including the energy used to heat the water.
By cutting down your time in the shower you are saving gallons of water and pounds of CO2 emissions.
If you want to take this to the next level, you can slowly work your way down to a 5 minutes shower to help the environment even more!
