Hello!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day!
Todays Challenge is :
Reuse Plastic Bags
Why are plastic bags a problem?
Scientist estimate that every square mile of ocean contains about 46,000 pieces of floating plastic. Researchers have found that plastic debris act like a sponge for toxic chemicals, diamond up a million fold greater concentration (than surrounding water) of such deadly compounds as PCBs and DDE becoming highly toxic to marine animals, who frequently consume these particles.

There is now six times more plastic debris in parts of the North Pacific Ocean than zooplankton.

Plastic bags can take up to 1,000 years to break down, so even when an animal dies and decays after ingesting a plastic bag, the plastic re-enters the environment, posing a continued threat to wildlife.

According to the Worldwatch Institue's State of the World report. Some 4-5 trillion plastic bags where produces globally in 2002. Roughly 80% of those bags were used in North America and Western Europe. Every year Americas throw away 100 billion plastic grocery bags.

So how can you reuse them?
1. Dirty Clothes – Stick a plastic grocery bag into your suitcase to tote home your dirty clothes while you’re on vacation. It’s nice to be able to separate your clean clothes from dirty ones, and this lets you do it without taking the plastic bag that most hotels provide.
2. Save money by using plastic bags as trash can liners.
3. Place your wet swim suits or other wet clothing inside plastic bags until you arrive home and can launder or hang out to dry.
4. Use them to clean up after your dog
